Lifetime Labor & Support Policy

For New Desktop Computers:

  • Lifetime Labor & Support: Original purchasers of new computer systems from Computer Connection are entitled to no labor or service costs for the lifetime of the system.
  • Coverage: This policy applies exclusively to the original purchaser and covers the original equipment and any future upgrades purchased and installed by Computer Connection.
  • Conditions: The policy is subject to the same limitations and conditions as the 1-Year Limited Hardware Warranty.

1-Year Limited Hardware Warranty

  • Coverage: Includes original core components within the computer chassis, known as the “Core Computer.”
  • Exclusions: Does not cover special order parts requested by the original customer and computer displays, which are separately insured for one year by Computer Connection.
  • Part Availability: In cases where specific parts become unavailable due to technological changes, Computer Connection reserves the right to repair or replace the component with new, used, refurbished, or re-certified parts.

Terms of the 1-Year Hardware Warranty

  • Warranty Period: Valid for one year from the date of sale.
  • Scope: Covers defects in materials and workmanship of the hardware.
  • Shipping Costs: Covered by Computer Connection for failures within the first 30 days for customers within the Contiguous United States. Afterward, customers bear the shipping costs.
  • Invalidation: Warranty voided if repairs, upgrades, or installations are performed by parties other than Computer Connection.
  • Software and Other Exclusions: Does not cover used/re-certified equipment, software errors, malware, corruption, or unreported missing items.
  • Data Protection: Customers must back up data before service. Computer Connection is not responsible for data loss.
  • Warranty Extension: Warranty repairs or servicing do not extend the original warranty period. Unclaimed computers post-repair become Computer Connection’s property.

General Limitations and Exclusions

  • Damage Exclusions: Warranty does not cover damages from shipping (except for the original purchaser), unauthorized modifications, misuse, or environmental conditions.
  • Promotional Items: Excluded from warranty terms.
  • Legal Rights: This warranty provides specific legal rights; additional rights may vary from state to state.
  • Liability Limitation: Computer Connection is not liable for incidental or consequential damages from warranty breaches.

Additional Terms

  • Claim Process: For warranty service, an RMA number must be visible on the shipping package. Include name, address, telephone number, and proof of purchase.
  • Disclaimer: Computer Connection disclaims

all warranties, expressed or implied, beyond those explicitly stated in this warranty document.

Applicability and Enforcement of Warranty

  • This warranty is enforceable only by the original purchaser and cannot be transferred.
  • The warranty is applicable only to hardware components of the computer system. It excludes any software, external peripherals, and accessories unless otherwise stated.
  • The warranty is effective only upon the successful registration of the product with Computer Connection and the provision of a valid proof of purchase.

Limitation of Liability

  • Under no circumstances shall Computer Connection be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the performance or use of the covered products, even if Computer Connection has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
  • The liability of Computer Connection under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective products as provided herein.

Exclusions from Warranty

  • The warranty does not cover any damage or failure resulting from accidents, misuse, abuse, liquid spillage, mishandling, improper installation, modification, unauthorized repair, or tampering by anyone other than authorized Computer Connection service personnel.
  • The warranty is void if the product’s serial number, label, or identification marks have been altered, removed, or rendered illegible.

Service and Repair

  • For service under this warranty, the customer must contact Computer Connection to obtain an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number and instructions for returning the product.
  • The customer is responsible for securely packaging the product and shipping it to the designated service location. The product must be shipped with freight charges prepaid.

Promotional Items and General Disclaimer

  • Promotional items received with the main product are not covered under this warranty.
  • Computer Connection makes no other express warranty or condition whether written or oral and, to the extent allowed by law, Computer Connection expressly disclaims any implied warranties or conditions, including any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Applicability of Warranty

  • This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
